1. All cancellation and reschedule requests must be submitted 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Patients are responsible for attending all scheduled appointments or providing timely notice if cancellation or rescheduling is needed.
2. As a courtesy, we send text message reminders approximately 48 hours and 90 minutes before scheduled appointments; patients may opt out of these reminders, but remain fully responsible for their appointments regardless of reminder status.
3. Each patient is granted one (1) free strike for late cancellations or rescheduled appointments, which resets twice yearly on January 1 and July 1.
4. If a patient cancels or reschedules an appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled time, a fee equal to 50% of the associated self-pay appointment cost will be charged unless an unused free strike is available.
5. If a patient arrives late and the appointment must be cancelled at the provider’s discretion, a fee equal to 50% of the associated self-pay appointment cost will apply and a free strike may be used if available.
6. Appointments missed without any prior notice are considered no-shows and will receive a fee equal to 100% of the associated self-pay appointment cost; free strikes do not apply to no-show appointments.
7. By scheduling an appointment, patients authorize the practice to add any applicable late cancellation, late arrival, or no-show fees to the patient’s account.
8. If a patient has acquired 3 separate fees to his or her account that have not been paid, he or she will receive a phone call with the option to pay the fees immediately. If the patient declines payment, he or she will be subject to the practice dismissal process below.
9. BridgeTower Chiropractic reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services to patients who repeatedly violate the Attendance Policy, including excessive late cancellations, late arrivals, or no-show appointments, or who engage in argumentative, disruptive, or uncooperative behavior related to the enforcement of this policy. Any refusal or discontinuation of care will be conducted in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, professional standards, and ethical obligations, and will not be based on any protected characteristic. When applicable, appropriate notice and transition of care will be provided to avoid patient abandonment.
While BridgeTower Chiropractic understands that illness and emergencies occur, we respectfully request that you avoid frequent cancellations or “no shows.” Please adhere to our following policy regarding providing our office with advance notification for any cancellations resulting from a conflicting appointment, vacation, obligations for work or family, or any other event.
